Tanzaroo Community Library Project

The Tanzaroo Community Library Project is a non-profit partner working with Green Village Green Future to fund, build, and maintain community libraries Green Village project sites.

Tanzaroo works with Australian donors to raise funds and collect current reading resources and materials to develop a system of rural libraries in Tanzania, where library resources are virtually unavailable.

The work of Tanzaroo is consistent with Phase III of the Green Village process- Education and Community Development, in that it supports the local community to create a center for education, global access, and community meetings.  It is also consistent with the green philosophy of GVGF, since all community libraries will

- Be the hub site for all environmental literacy training and discussion

- House a special library of environmental resources for community use

- Will be constructed using green architectural design and principles
